To me, food is all-consuming and all-consumed. It connects us, be it over a meal with family, bringing someone a dish to brighten their day or nourish them when they can’t manage on their own, cooking to heal a broken heart, or indulging in a sweet treat while you flip through the pages of your favourite book. We are all connected through food, and I strive to bridge the gap between loving to eat and cooking for yourself and your loved ones.
The recipes found here are both my own and inspirations from across the web, from magazines, tv shows and friends. I am inspired daily by the people and places that surround me and try to incorporate as much of that into my recipes and writing as possible.
You’ll find I stick to mostly whole-food recipes. If I can make it from scratch, I try my best to do that. It may take longer, but the gratification felt by doing so is everything to me. I encourage you to give it a shot - you’d be surprised to learn how easy making your own bread, tortillas, jams, dairy-products and sauces can be. It makes me feel less alone in all these letters and photos when I know you’re trying things along with me.
If you’d like to get in touch, you can always reach me via the “contact me” button on the main page. Until then, thank you again and again for stopping by. Without you, I’d just be yammering on to myself (which I generally do anyways). I appreciate every recipe you try and every comment you leave and will always try my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
From my dusty seafoam kitchen to yours,
